The 1989 killing of a Maine woman, whose body was found in Franconia, Maine has never been solved.
Pamela Webb, 32, of Winthrop, Maine, has not been seen alive since July 1989.
Webb’s 1981 blue Chevy pickup truck was found on the side of the highway on the southbound side of Interstate 95 in Biddeford, Maine.
The truck’s passenger side rear tire was flat and a spare tire was seen leaning against the tailgate. Maine State Police said there were blood stains on the pavement on the passenger side of the truck.
Webb’s dog was found in the front of the truck, police said.
Webb was on her way to see her boyfriend in Mason, New Hampshire, on July 1 when she disappeared. Her boyfriend reported her missing the next day, Maine State Police said.
About 75-100 people called Maine State Police to report seeing Webb’s truck broken down on the side of the highway, police said.
Her skeletal remains were discovered on July 18, 1989, in the woods off Route 3 in Franconia.
Webb had died as the result of homicidal violence of an unspecified nature, according to the New Hampshire Cold Case Unit.
