It’s getting even easier to reach the Big Easy.
Southwest Airlines is adding new nonstop service to New York City from New Orleans.
The daily flights will begin on November 4, 2018, according to Nola.com. The new flights will leave New Orleans' Louis Armstrong International Airport at 9:10 a.m., and land at New York’s LaGuardia Airport at 12:55 p.m.
Southwest will also resume seasonal service between New Orleans and San Jose and New Orleans and Cancun. These flights will start up in April of 2019.
On the heels of new flight service is the opening of New Orlean’s new $1 billion, 35-gate airport terminal, which is scheduled for May of 2019. According to Nola.com, Southwest is the airport’s largest operator and will share the wing of Concourse B with American Airlines.
