From Ascent to ZR1, the most popular 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show cars on MotorTrend.com are all over the automotive map. As we've continued to bring you the very best show coverage around, keep reading to find out what show cars really resonated online.

2019 INFINITI QX50

The new Infiniti QX50 makes a huge leap from its small and rear-drive-based predecessor to a modern replacement that rides on a FWD/AWD platform and features far more conventional crossover styling. At an auto show event that took place near the Tesla Design Studio, we found the new QX50 to sport "clean yet aggressive" body work. The luxury crossover looks good inside, too, with a rear seat that is spacious but could use more foot room. The QX50 features a new variable-compression turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 268 hp and 280 lb-ft.

2019 LINCOLN NAUTILUS

Lincoln refreshed the MKX with a new Continental-like face, but the real story in L.A. is that the brand is moving back to real car names. There is no 2019 MKX. Instead the MKX makes way for the Nautilus, but Lincoln tells us that when the MKC eventually changes its name, it won't necessarily start with an "n" like the Nautilus and redesigned Navigator. The Nautilus now offers evasive steer assist, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and new styling from the A-pillar forward.

2019 CHEVROLET CORVETTE ZR1 CONVERTIBLE

Before the current-generation Corvette makes way for a more advanced replacement, Chevrolet made sure the C7 goes out with a 755-hp bang. Making its debut at the 2017 L.A. show—the coupe was revealed in Dubai—the ZR1 convertible is the type of car that you can hear from a mile away at GM'sMilford proving ground, according to chief engineer Tadge Juechter.

2018 LEXUS RX L

Although the 2018 Lexus RX L is merely a variant of an existing car, when you're talking about the best-selling luxury crossover on the market today, that's enough to increase interest. As we found out on the auto show floor, the 2018 RX L should make a good addition to the Lexus crossover fleet, with its occasional-use third row that could prove helpful and a tad more cargo space when you fold it out of sight. When it reaches dealerships, the RX 350L will start just below $50,000.

2019 MERCEDES-BENZ CLS

Mercedes-Benz's coupelike four-door is back for a third generation and is looking swoopier than ever. Now sporting a more aggressive grille that in person is a little reminiscent of the Ford Mustang's, the CLS has an updated interior with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster screen and similarly sized central display, plus seating for five. Really, though, you won't want to strap in a passenger in that middle rear seat for too long because the rear seats are shaped to optimize comfort for the two outboard passengers.

2018 MAZDA6

This isn't the first time Mazda has updated its midsize sedan, but the enthusiast-favorite four-door is back with more upscale features and a couple visual updates. I'm not a fan of the new chrome trim underneath the headlights, but the grille detailing looks great, and it's hard to argue with an available engine upgrade in the form of a 250-hp 2.5-liter turbo-four with 310 lb-ft of torque.

2019 SUBARU ASCENT

The 2019 Subaru Ascent could represent a comeback story for the automotive brand that over the past few years has seemed unstoppable. After the Tribeca was discontinued, it took Subaru a few years to regroup and re-engineer a more competitive three-row crossover. So will the 2019 Ascent have a greater impact than the Tribeca did? Read our exclusive First Drive review of a 2019 Ascent prototype to find out.

2018 JEEP WRANGLER

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler was one of the most highly anticipated 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show debuts and, by a decent margin, the most popular L.A. show car online on MotorTrend.com. Before we tell you what we think—those impressions are subject to an embargo—check out our incredibly thorough 2018 Wrangler First Look. The new Wrangler will be sold alongside the outgoing model, which will be renamed the Wrangler JK. As for the new 2018 Wrangler, Jeep made a number of changes inside and out to improve the Wrangler's design and functionality. Oh, and before the diesel arrives next year, the 285-hp 3.6-liter V-6 with 260 lb-ft of torque is joined by a new 2.0-liter turbo-four with 270 hp and 295 lb-ft.
