Animal rescuers in New York state had to use a ladder to scale a tree and rescue a raccoon with a jar stuck over its head.
The Strong Island Animal Rescue League said rescuers responded in the early morning hours Tuesday to a Centereach home where a resident had spotted a raccoon with a peanut butter jar stuck over its head.
The rescuers, which included group head Frank Floridia, had to use a ladder to reach the raccoon, which was perched on a branch, and bring it back down to earth.
Rescuers then plucked the jar from the animal's head.
