Fact Checking Policy

Reporters must precise their words, headlines, and URLs. They must understand that words have power and act responsibly. In doing so, reporters must verify the information they gather including person's names and positions with his/her factual statements and accounts. Reporters must conduct their own fact checking using their own decision guided by the ethics policy. Daily News will strictly use fact checkers in certain circumstances.
